These monsters are intended for sword & sorcery campaigns in
Two Fisted Tales. They are built more in the spirit of Howard, Fritz Leiber and Clark Aston Smith than Tolkien. Their names are generic, and should be changed to fit your campaign background.
Juggernaut
A “juggernaut” is a magically animated idol or statue. Like undead, they do not suffer bleeding effects and cannot be knocked unconscious; it takes 10 wounds with a single attack, or 20 wounds over multiple blows, to kill them. Luckily they’re fairly slow, with Reflexes scores of 10 and low movement rates for their size. Their Mind scores are effectively 14, like most monsters, although they can’t be effected by Hypnotism or Charm spells.

Kraken
The “Kraken” can be used for any tentacled monster. The creature has a lamprey-like mouth and 4 tentacles which it uses to grapple prey. These tentacles are 5 yards long apiece, and can be used for a special “grapple” attacks. (This takes one combat action, and each tentacle can attack a separate target. The Kraken must beat a target’s Combat roll, and also beat the target’s Muscle roll, to grapple. Success prevents victims from moving, but not attacking.) After grappling its victims the Kraken drops them, one at a time, into its mouth, doing bite damage. The Kraken has a Muscle of 35 for grappling purposes.

Lizard Man
This version of the Lizard Man is more intelligent than in most fantasy games, the kind that enslaved mankind and ruled the earth in ancient times. The Lizard Man has a Brains of 16, with the Illusion Magic mastery, and knows the Appearance Change schtick.

Succubus
A “succubus” is a seductive creature, typically female, who uses Charm magic to pacify and them destroy prey. While the succubus is weak in physical combat, she has a Brains score of 16 with the Charm and Illusion Magic masteries, and knows the Appearance Change, Emotional Trigger, Hypnotic Suggestion, Mental Illusions and Sleep schticks.

Winged Fiend
The Winged Fiend can be a natural creature or a demon from another dimension. It has an effective Muscle of 16, strong enough to carry away heroes and fair princesses without being encumbered, but brittle bones lower its effective Resistance score.

| Winged Fiend | | | 14 | | | 14 | | | 15 yrds/sec. | | | 0 | | | 5 (claw/bite) | | | Man-Sized | |
